Hey Ya’ll, is often what you hear here in Texas, however, I’m from New York City. Born and raise a city girl, and will always be a city girl. I was fortunate enough to get a scholarship to go to college education in Upstate New York (RIT Grad) where I learned that life exist outside of NYC. During my undergrad days I grew into a professional woman learning about “the right time and place” for things, adjusting to life outside the city. I had the mouth of a sailor, cursing for me was just a part of my language and another adjective to my nouns. I became cultured, and as strange as that sounds, I learned immensely how to survive outside of NYC where everything has the “survival of the fittest” mindset. I’m grateful for that experience because I toned myself down, and mastered the skills of a chameleon – you must adapt to your environment. The public knows me as this professional Latina woman, my friends say I’m the Mama, my nieces and nephew think of me as Sergeant Titi (the mean one), my family says I’m the Pitbull, my children think “I’m the best Mami ever”, and my husband… Well, he says “I’m the closer”.
RIT is where I met my husband, Anthony, my college sweetheart. We’ve been together for 10 years, had our first child while I was a sophomore in college, and have been through the good, the bad, and the ugly. He supports me in everything I do, including finishing up my bachelors degree and completing a masters degree at Stony Brook University after relocating back to NYC and becoming licensed as an Esthetician. You can say I have the “Super Woman” complex. In New York, I was working, attending school, Mom & Wife 24/7, and expecting our second child. The NYC lifestyle isn’t what we wanted for our kids so the option of relocating started grow. My In-Laws had relocated to Texas the same year I became pregnant with my first child so it made sense to give Texas a try. I’m not going to lie, Texas is a whole other world. The culture here just baffles me, but we are all adjusting, loving it and we haven’t seen our boys happier. It has been a great lifestyle change thus far and we haven’t regretted it.
Since our move to Texas I have become licensed in the State of Texas as a Cosmetic Esthetician, and a Certified PiYo Instructor.
My Why (As of July 1, 2014): Over the year my why has changed several times and this should be happening because we have to work on our small-term goals to achieve our long-term goals. In the past year Beachbody has improved my health and fitness level. I have helped and seen this company and their products help others. Now, I want to make this new lifestyle, that has sparked such a major passion in me, a financial supplement for my family.
